NURSES ON OUR OWN is the inspiring story of two traditional RN's working in a hospital psych ward who decided to start a new career in a untraditional way by starting the first Nursing Service Corporation as a freestanding business in the US. They face adventure, challenge, defeat and success as they wade thru the hospital obstacles, head to federal court for their freedom to practice, write and get a book published by a large New York publisher, work as private detective assistants, live danger as Chicago police wives, head up first aid stations at an amusement park and on major motion pictures such as Dr. Detroit, Risky Business etc and work with many movie stars. This is an entrepreneurial story and an expose on the lives of two traditional women who become trEnditional and beat the odds.
Nurses On Our OwnThis is a story for everyone Nurses or not. It leads you into the mystical world of medicine, the secrets, the tears and the laughter and the rewards gotten no where else in any other profession. These two women, friends who transform teach us all a lesson in danger,excitement and the helping of all mankind.
